Multilingual thank you cards.

At the end of 2011 Maureen ordered beautiful, vine themed, bespoke wedding invites. I adored these so I was pleased to get to design some matching thank you cards for her. As with her invites, the cards were bilingual since the guests were either traveling to or come from Gran Canaria! Click here to see her invites.

Cora’s mismatched Bunting

Cora loved the vintage styling of my Bunting invites, but wanted to make them even more quirky with some added patterns and motifs along with mismatched belly bands. Using a palette rather than just one colour, I tailored the hues to Cora’s themes (orchid, lilacs, apricots and ecru) using different colours on the Bunting flags and adding contrasting patterns of stripes, florals and dots.

I also designed two different floral designs for the belly bands (a girl after my own heart!) I think the mis-matching and eye for detail is fab. Cora also ordered Tags for her guests using her very own patterned Bunting design. I love that it was addressed from their baby daughter Neve – the reason they didn’t marry a year ago!

Gemma’s Plum Pockets

What a lovely combination Gemma has chosen, Silver Grey square pocket, Plum backing card and Flock detail and ivory inserts. Gemma had evening and day invites in her pocketfold combination, each with it’s own double sided information card. This not only gave guests the vital info but provided a bespoke map. These maps are a new service I’m offering! Styling a map to suit your invites and keep everything lovely and consistent! Gemma was over the moon with her invits, so much so that she came back fro extras! Please contact me if you would like a map drawn: ruth@oliveweddings.co.uk

Scroll elegance in Hunter Green

Jane and Anri chose a really elegant combination for their pocketfold stationery. They had ivory card with Hunter Green pocket and backing using the Scroll design for simple damask elegance, they coupled the pocket with the rustic font to compliment the stunning converted barn setting for their big day. They also had a matching RSVP and RSVP envelope and the finishing touch, a Scroll motif on their ivory belly band. The perfect finish to a perfect invite.

Julie’s botanical orchids

In Liberty perfection, Julie chose the Orchid Botanical design on ivory card. The A6 landscape format lent itself really well to this motif and the purple hues matched each other beautifully. Julie chose a smaller RSVP in order to have a return envelope to fit into the pocket with it and requested menu choices on the reverse of the response card. She also finished the outside with a gorgeous patterned belly band using the same botanical orchid as the motif. A vision in Liberty!

A flourish of contemporary beauties

This January, at the height of the rush, I’ve seen some great colour and design combo’s fly out of the studio. Some great examples of what can be achieved with the choice of fonts, designs and colours… Christine’s Navy Swallows, Simon and Sarah’s Oak in Silver Grey, Julie’s Black Lace and Carmody’s Dotty in Royal, all on the finest FSC White linen card.

Julia’s Metropolitan Map

Julia and Neil’s inspiration for their big day is the London Tube map. As London dwellers, they are well versed in each Line. Using the London Underground logo for their names and wedding date, I designed a bespoke table plan, replacing stations with guest names. I also made signs for each table to say what line they were. They also had blank place names with their logo to write guests names by hand.

I hope the big day runs as smoothly as the design process. Lovely ideas once again from lovely clients!
